Urgent requests
For urgent requests, the precise moment of delivery will be determined, in consultation. ETB-BISLIFE collaborates with courier services to ensure that your order is delivered on time. We arrange transport door-to-door by a courier overnight. If you want a delivery the same day the costs will be higher. It is possible that we need to ship to the nearest airport. You will then need to pick up the shipment at the nearest airport.

Transport occurs under guaranteed storage conditions. Delivery is followed by a period of unmonitored storage conditions; for that reason the tissue cannot be returned.

Frozen bone tissue
Frozen bone tissue will be shipped in a polystyrene box on dry ice (-80°C). This way the graft(s) stay deep frozen for approximately 24 hours.
After that time they must be stored in a -40°C / -80 °C freezer.

Storage terms
-20°C to -40°C maximum period of 5 months
-40°C to -80°C until the expiration date
The maximum storage period is marked on the packaging After thawing the graft can be stored 24 hours in the sterile package for 24 hours at 4° C

Freeze-dried tissue
Freeze-dried tissue must be stored at room temperature, and is generally sent by post.

On a periodic basis, the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) sets the prices for the delivery of Dutch tissue. Over and above the tissue costs, ETB-BISLIFE will also separately charge the actual transportation and other costs. Placement on a waiting list or the search for a suitable allograft is free of charge. Charges will only apply after ETB-BISLIFE has identified and supplied a suitable allograft.
