Release

Once the donor is found suitable by the NTS (or by assessment doctors of ETB-BISLIFE in the case of living donors) and all of the results of safety tests and quality controls are complete and acceptable, the stored tissue can be released for distribution to hospitals. This final assessment is in the hands of the Responsible Person, an officer who is designated for this task by the organisation and registered with the IGJ.

Only after release may the available tissue be distributed to hospitals, where it can be used by medical specialists in treating their patients.
