ETB-BISLIFE treats, selects and stores bone and tendon tissue donated for transplantation purposes to ensure a reliable supply of tissue for physicians.
Bone
Range of Musculoskeletal tissue
ETB-BISLIFE has a broad range of donated human bone and tendon tissue that can be used in patients. This enables us to optimally supply treating doctors with tissue.
Tissue Request
Via MY ETB-BISLIFE area of the site, a member can gain online access, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to its customer details.
Use of Donor Tissue
In general, donated bone and tendon tissue is used to replace or repair a defective structure in the patient’s body.
Femoral heads living donor
Given the shortage of tissue, ETB-BISLIFE has over the years established collaborative agreements with a selected number of hospitals in the Netherlands, the aim of which is to make femoral heads available from living donors whose bone tissue has been removed during a hip replacement operation.
Donation of Costal Cartilage
ETB-BISLIFE stores cartilage for transplantation. Cartilage tissue originates from patients who donated rib cartilage following a surgical correction of their thorax.
Storage of Bone tissue
Bone tissue and tendon tissue removed from donors is stored under controlled conditions.
Storage of cranial bone for autologous use
ETB-BISLIFE stores cranial bone (bone fragment) for autologous applications.
History
