Under Article 17 of Directive 2004/23/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, a tissue establishment is required to appoint a Responsible Person (RP). This RP should comply with a number of statutory requirements. At ETB-BISLIFE, this function is fulfilled by the following two officers:

Responsible Person for Ocular, Cardiovascular, and Skin Tissue.
A PhD biologist with 15 years of experience in receiving, processing, preserving, storing, and distributing donated human tissue.
J.P. van Kats, PhD
Responsible Person for Musculoskeletal Tissue.
A PhD medical biologist with 20 years of experience in receiving, processing, preserving, storing, and distributing donated human tissue.
