Non-profit Multi-Tissue Center
ETB-BISLIFE Foundation came into existence on 1 January 2018 as the result of a merger between Leiden-based BISLIFE and Euro Tissue Bank in Beverwijk, creating one large-scale Multi-Tissue Centre.
As a non-profit organisation, ETB-BISLIFE also fulfils a mediating role aimed at the reliable acquisition and distribution of human tissues for transplantation purposes in the Netherlands and Europe.

ETB-BISLIFE makes donated tissue available to doctors treating patients requiring tissue transplants. We do this by processing and storing the tissue in such a way that it meets the highest quality and safety standards, always with the utmost respect for the donor. This allows us to contribute to the improvement of patients’ quality of life.
We are proud of our role in the national and international tissue chain. With our Knowledge Network, we focus on acquiring, developing and consolidating knowledge on our specialism and then share this expertise with the outside world. In this way, we contribute to developing new uses for donated tissue in collaboration with our partners in the field.
