ETB-BISLIFE has a broad range of donated human bone and tendon tissue that can be used in patients. This enables us to optimally supply treating doctors with tissue. If a desired tissue is not available, however, ETB-BISLIFE has access to a broad international network, the members of which may stock the desired tissue.

SHAFTS

Shafts are available in various sizes and are suitable for different surgical applications.

NOTE: there is a margin of 1mm greater or less in the length of the graft.

SOFT TISSUES

Human donor tendons have an important role in tendon and/or ligament reconstruction if the quality of the patient’s tendon is insufficient or lost entirely. 
Tendons are mainly used for knee ligament reconstructions, as well as shoulder surgery or other indications.

FEMORAL HEADS

ETB-BISLIFE can supply both processed and unprocessed femoral heads:

  • Processed
    Femoral head from a post-mortem donor and/or living donor. The femoral head has been cleaned and cartilage and soft tissue has been removed.
  • Unprocessed
    Femoral head from a living donor who underwent hip replacement surgery. Following donation, the femoral head is placed in sterile packaging.

BONE FRAGMENTS

ETB-BISLIFE offers a wide range of bone fragments, including cancellous chips, crushed cancellous chips, cortical cancellous chips and plugs.
In addition to different volumes. sizes and diameters, different types of processing are also possible:

  • Freeze-dried
    Freeze-drying is a technique for removing water from a product by freezing it first and then causing the water to evaporate vacuum. Freeze-dried bone tissue can be stored at room temperature.
  • Frozen
    Bone tissue frozen after preparation and stored at a temperature of -40°C or colder (ultralow freezer)

Medical Applications
Bone fragments are osteoconductive bone fillers and serve as a matrix for bone regeneration. They can be combined with bone cement.

  • Bone defect filling, tunnel filling, tumor surgery, prosthetic replacement surgery.

HUMERAL GRAFTS

ETB-BISLIFE can supply the proximal part of the humerus.
The grafts are available in different qualifications for you to choose from:

  • Osteo-articular (OA)
    grafts with soft tissue and cartilage, whereby the cartilage is in quality class 1-3.
  • Allograft Prosthetic Composite (APC)
    grafts with soft tissue and cartilage, whereby the cartilage is in quality class 4-5.
  • Grafts without soft tissue
    grafts without soft tissue but with cartilage, whereby the quality of the cartilage is not considered

DBM

Demineralized Bone Matrix - DBM

DBM Powder and Putty is available in different volumes.
DBM is an osteoconductive bone filler with a proven osteoinductive potential.

  • Powder
    must be hydrated prior to use
  • Putty
    is ready for use and has a consistency similar to gel or paste. This makes it easy to use in surgical applications

Medical Applications
DBM products can be used for various surgical applications, e.g. in orthopedic or maxillofacial reconstruction surgery and bone transplantation. It can be used alone or in combination with autologous bone or other forms of allograft bone.

STRUTS

Struts are available in various sizes and are suitable for different surgical applications.

NOTE: there is a margin of 1mm greater or less in the length of the graft.

  •  Tibia struts, taken from the cortical tibia
  •  Femoral struts, taken from the cortical part of the femur (long and wide)


Medical applications
Struts are structural allografts and create an osteoconductive matrix for bone ingrowth.They provide support in the treatment of fractures, including nonunion or periprosthetic fractures.

FEMORAL GRAFTS

ETB-BISLIFE can supply the proximal and distale part of the femur and a whole femur.
The grafts are available in different qualifications for you to choose from:

  • Osteo-articular (OA)
    grafts with soft tissue and cartilage, whereby the cartilage is in quality class 1-3.
  • Allograft Prosthetic Composite (APC)
    grafts with soft tissue and cartilage, whereby the cartilage is in quality class 4-5.
  • Grafts without soft tissue
    grafts without soft tissue but with cartilage, whereby the quality of the cartilage is not considered

HTO WEDGES

Medical Applications

HTO (High Tibial Osteotomy) Wedge is shaped for use in High tibial osteotomy procedures. HTO wedges are used to fill the space created from correcting the mechanical axis.

NOTE: there is a margin of 0.5mm greater or less in the height of the wedge.
